2018 Year in Review
I want to thank the near 1,400 people who have visited my blog since April. I appreciate your support! I work really hard to feature a new travel destination every Monday on the blog, and it takes up a lot my personal time. However, the trips are enjoyable and I love sharing my experiences with you. It feels good to see so many of you are interested in traveling.
It feels even better to know that people from 35 countries are interested in blacktrekking, and exploring more. They’re interested in learning more about black culture, and black history. The majority of the blog readers are from the United States, followed by Ghana and Canada.
June was our busiest month on the blog. It’s no surprise, considering I took you to Sanibel Island, Key West, Costa Rica, Bora Bora, Paris, and The National Museum of African American History and Culture.
And when it comes to social media, I’ve learned that most of you hear about the blog on Facebook and Instagram. If you haven’t followed us already, do so here.
Now to your favorite articles. The winner by a long shot was, “Travel alone to Ghana? No problem.” That’s probably because many of you couldn’t believe I was going there alone, and couldn’t wait to read about it.
I have to admit, that’s probably one of the boldest things I’ve done in a long time. I’m grateful the trip went just as planned and I enjoyed every second of it. It was so refreshing to explore a new continent, a new country by myself, on my own time and schedule. Sometimes it’s nice to just get away.
